Oasis Pre-School
Oasis Pre-School, located in its own dedicated section on the same campus as the Lower Primary and Junior High School, continues to provide a strong foundation for the youngest learners.
The Pre-School began with 107 children in Kindergarten 1, Kindergarten 2, Grade 1, and Grade 2, under the pioneering leadership of Mrs. Dorothy Akubah-Apidogo and her assistant, Mr. Samuel Arthur. At the time, the Montessori approach was still breaking new ground, and Oasis was among the first to embrace it.
A walk into a typical Montessori classroom at Oasis Pre-School reveals the hallmark of the “Prepared Environment,” where children are free to learn by doing, touching, and exploring. Through practice and repetition, they gain mastery of skills—an experience that is physically, emotionally, and spiritually rewarding. This sense of achievement builds confidence and nurtures a self-motivated love for learning.
From its beginnings with a small team of four dedicated teachers, Oasis Pre-School has grown into a thriving learning space. Since September 2008, Ms. Helen Adongo has served as Head Teacher of both the Pre-School and Primary, providing consistent leadership that continues to guide Oasis Pre-School to greater heights.
