Junior High School
The Junior High School is situated on the new and main campus adjacent the Bolgatanga Technical Institute on the Navrongo – Tamale road. It currently runs a multiple stream of 3 classrooms for each level of the Junior High School system with close to 200 pupils. The level of academic rigor prepares students for admissions to quality Senior High Schools across the nation and even abroad.
They receive an education where their behavioral, academic, social, and spiritual needs are met. We participate in various service projects in and out of school. Several community leaders come in and speak to our students about real-world connections to what they are learning in their classrooms.
Our desire is for students to realize and appreciate the role they have in influencing the world. With the school’s vision of developing a generation purposefully in success; The highly qualified faculty and staff are committed to helping students reach their highest academic potential and position them to be competent worldwide leaders who make a positive difference in their communities. Most importantly, we value students developing a relationship with God.
Students meet thrice a week in a small group led by a teacher in order to mentor students in life lessons and morning devotion. All of the curriculum at the Dersert Pstures International School is designed to be biblically integrated. We love for students to be able to ask questions and have conversations about God in all subjects. In addition to academics, FRS offers many choices in sports; soccer, basketball, handball , volleyball and athletics. There are also non-sports clubs students participate in.
Under the current administration, Mrs. Patience Ayikade is the Headteacher (Junior High School).
